    In RimWorld sind Sie verantwortlich für eine Gruppe von Überlebenden aus einem Raumschiff-Unfall in einer Grenzwelt am Rand des bekannten Raumes. Ihr Hauptziel ist die Erweiterung der Kolonie und genug Ressourcen sammeln um in der Lage aus dem Planeten zu entkommen. Das Spiel ist ein Bau-und Management-Simulation 2D-Videospiel inspiriert durch den Raum westlichen Vibe von Firefly, die tiefe Simulation von Dwarf Fortress und die epische Skala von Dune und Warhammer 40,000. Ihre Crew ist nicht von professionellen Siedlern gebildet, so haben Sie ein bisschen von allem in der Mischung zu finden, und jeder hat ihre eigenen Persönlichkeitsmerkmale und wechselnde Beziehungen zwischen ihnen werden hergestellt.
