Ostranauts ist eine Noir-Raumschiff-Lebenssimulation im NEO Scavenger-Universum. Die Erde hat einen katastrophalen Zusammenbruch erlitten und der Rest des Systems lebt in einem Zustand kapitalistischer Dystopie weiter. In dieser Welt überleben nur die Stärksten oder diejenigen mit weniger Integrität.

In Ostranauts erstellst du deinen eigenen Kapitän und baust oder anpassst dein Raumschiff aus der Beute deiner Schlachten an. Du kannst deinen Schiff in jeder Form aus funktionierenden modularen Teilen bauen. Die Teile haben physikalische Eigenschaften, interagieren miteinander und können sich mit der Zeit abnutzen. Verwalte alles, von der Arbeit bis zur Bezahlung des Treibstoffs in den Tanks, oder um die physischen und emotionalen Bedürfnisse deiner Crew und natürlich musst du sicherzustellen, dass die Inkassobüros, die nur darauf warten, dass du Insolvenz anmeldst, sich von dich ein bisschen länger fernhalten.
